Although I was a mathematician in a previous life, I currently work as a Data Scientist at ING Bank in Amsterdam. There, I apply machine learning and big data technologies mainly to fraud and risk problems. Previously I worked as a software developer at DeDecaan.net and as a student ambassador and teaching assistant at Utrecht University.
This is my personal blog on data science, machine learning, mathematics and related topics. I hope to write about once per month or whenever I feel like it. Particular topics that I’ve been reading up on and experimenting with are:
- Uplift modelling
- Contextual bandits
- Causal Inference
- Kernel Density Estimation
